Jesus had only one bride and that is his catholic church,the holyspirit.polygamy alway leads to destruction God's design has alway lead to full realisation of human potential. because of polygamy isaac and ishmeal descendant has remained divided in what we seen between Islam and christains.
Solomon's heart was turn from God to other god's because of polygamy at the end he said vanity upon vanity all are vanity.God design gives us our full potentials. marrying who God says and in what church God didn't plan for you will limit your true potential in Christ in the Catholic church. Polygamy is sited in the bible to show the danger in it and not for us to adopt.
The same goes with paying of bride price was shown in the bible to show us the dangers in it not for us to adopt as tradition.
