🔵It is not true that the culture of the Europeans who introduced Christianity to Africa had no dowry. Even till this day, Europeans pay dowry. They may call it anything else.
🔴 Christianity did not abolish and does not forbid African custom and traditions but idolatry or any practice content of any custom and traditions that opposed the Sacred Scripture or the belief in One Supreme God.

My reply
Dowry is idolatry idolizing man over woman.
What Europeans do is engagement party not dowry.
Christainity came to abolish idolarous practice in Africa culture that include paying dowry. The Catholic church is not meant to inculturate (absorb culture)but dissolve culture.
it's wrong to inculturate.catholic have their own culture that DNT include paying dowry.
Practice of paying dowry is idolizing man over women
What makes marriage illegal is white wedding certificate do they issue any certificate for paying dowry.
