 Prayer for the unity of the  churches

I love God but I hate the church a statement from a young Catholic guy who will rather pray alone in his room than pray with the church or have anything to do with the church.

He grew up in a Catholic community,he had so much fun and experience so much joy serving God in that Catholic community.

But then one day top leaders of this cattholic community fought eachother and so best friends became mortal enemies and family and friends underneath them had to choose side.

It was so painful so traumatic that he decided to dropout attending church anymore.

I totally agree with you,praying alone is so much easier,I would rather pray alone in my room enjoy God presence than pray with church and serve in church and be with church because let's face it.

If you pray alone,you DNT have to deal with this creatures, people Mr know it all who correct everyone or Ms chismosa all she does is spread stories secret stories rumours about persons or Mr arrogant or Mr Selfish or intrigue and conflict.

Why is there conflict always in church fighting  I would rather pray alone yes you are right.

But here is the thing am so much other than you I  v also been serving in church and am telling you it's difficult.

Chuch is very difficult and am old enough to tell you that difficult is usually a good thing.you and I need difficulty to grow up,to mature ,become stronger and wiser.

The only way to become patient is to experience moment where you are tempted to be become impatient.

And the only way to learn how to love more is to be with people who are very difficult to love 

Why am I still in church? If church where an organization I resign.i would have resigned.but it's just not an organization

Church is God's idea.church is the body of Christ by at Paul meaning if you belong to Jesus then you belong to his body.

Yes with all of its weaknesses and all of its fault and all its problems people inside.why because the church is not for perfect people.

If you are perfect you DNT need the church.church is specifically for imperfect people that journey together, struggle together with all our weaknesses.

So that we can rely on God together.

Praying alone in the room is very important but that is your vertical line,up and down of you and God together.

But there is a horizontal lines on the cross loving those people that are difficult to love 

So those two lines are needed so that you and I can follow Jesus carry out cross everyday and be his disciples .

In our catholics gospel reading,today  7/6/25 Jesus prayed may they be one as we are one .

Jesus prayed for unity.

I DNT know when that prayer will be answered because right now there are 47000 christain denominations and independent churches.

Who can't work together because they have different doctrine ,worship style,they DNT agree with what color of  their carpet should be on the alter or what key they should sing amazing grace.

But despite all this conflict and fighting shameful and embrassing. I still believe that the prayer of Jesus will one day be answered

3 things to share with you so that that prayer of unity will be answered.

1.please remember you are a family first before you are an organised nation

2.dnt take yourself too seriously.if your idea and approach doesn't get follower because someone else won the argument and someone is in charge and you r not in charge  be humble the kingdom of God doesn't depend on you. It depends on Jesus.

3.if the spilt is really necessary and you have to part ways .

Please let the door of reconciliation  remain open.

Find a way to remains friends even if you work separately

Pray for unity and our spiritual community and our parish churches.
